Hamish Hamilton → Authors → Marilyn Chin

Marilyn Chin was born in Hong Kong and raised in Portland, Oregon. Her books have become Asian American classics and are taught in classrooms internationally. She has won numerous awards for her poetry, including a United States Artist foundation grant, a Radcliffe Institute Fellowship at Harvard and four Pushcart Prizes. Her books of poems include Dwarf Bamboo, Rhapsody in Plain Yellow and The Phoenix Gone, The Terrace Empty. In addition to writing poetry, she has translated poems by the modern Chinese poet Ai Qing and co-translated poems by the Japanese poet Gozo Yoshimasu. She teaches in the MFA program at San Diego State University. Revenge of the Mooncake Vixen is her first book of fiction.
