Vikram Seth
Equally gifted as a poet, essayist, memoirist, travel writer and novelist, Vikram Seth is perhaps best-known for the phenomenal A Suitable Boy, one of the best-loved, most widely-read and indeed longest novels of recent times. As James Wood wrote in the Guardian, ‘Such writing reminds us that there are secrets beyond technique, beyond even style, which have to do with a quality of soul on the part of the writer, a giving of oneself…’. Vikram is currently working on a sequel to the novel, entitled A Suitable Girl, to be published by Hamish Hamilton in 2013.
